During the summer months, Nancy Kaufman and the staff of the Kaufman Children’s Center are able to intensively treat two groups of six children each for a period of three weeks, using the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol.



The program includes:

  • Pre-treatment evaluation using the Goldman Fristoe2 Test of Articulation, the Kaufman Speech Praxis Test (KSPT) and a language sample
  • Individualized speech goals established within first half hour
  • Individual speech intervention scheduled for 30 minutes, twice daily
  • Group intervention with Nancy Kaufman scheduled for 60 minutes, once daily
  • Participation in a sensory-motor group for 60 minutes, once weekly
  • Participation for three weeks for a total of 28.5 hours of intervention
