The Living with Autism Workshop, presented by Metro Parent and Henry Ford Health System, will be held on Wednesday, April 25 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Troy Marriott.
The Kaufman Children's Center will be exhibiting at the event, and director Nancy Kaufman, MA, CCC-SLP, will be presenting "The Quest for Request: Getting Kids Talking with Applied Verbal Behavior," along with Kerry Peterson, MA, CCC-SLP, BCBA, director of the KCC's TrainIn program.
Actress and advocate Holly Robinson Peete is the keynote speaker, sharing her family’s powerful story of their son, R.J., who has autism. Michigan Lt. Gov. Brian Calley, who has been instrumental in the fight for autism insurance reform in the state, will be a special guest speaker. Three breakout sessions featuring seven informative presentations are scheduled.
